Frequently Asked Questions

    1. Swamiji, You spoke about the mountain being home to many enlightened beings. Were they from all different cultures? And if so, why Kailash?

Nithyananda

      • First thing, once somebody becomes enlightened then there is no more difference in cultures. Whether it is Buddhism, Jainism, Islam or Christ, once enlightened, there is no difference.
      • If you ask why Kailash? Kailash happens to be the energy center, ananda gandha of Kailash. If you ask me why I settled in Bidadi, I can say I don’t know the answer. That is the way it is.
      • I can say Shiva settled in physical body and settled in Kailash and created an energy field. Maybe he liked the place and Shiva likes solitude being in samadhi and it is difficult to reach the place maybe so that inauthentic fellows don’t come near you.
      • Of course, he is available everywhere, he makes himself available everywhere even then Kailash is totally different. See now I am available in video conferencing in so many places. But sitting physically in front of me in Bidadi is different. See in video conferencing you can see only what camera shows. But here in Bidadi you can see something more. All temples / centers you can see only how much is shown in the camera is seen. But Kailash has something more to be seen.
    1. The energy darshan you gave in the valley at the foot of Kailash produced many miracles. What was so special about that place?

Nithyananda

      • That place is called Ashtapath where Shiva administers the cosmos. From the south side of Kailash, Shiva shared enlightenment; from east side, he does administration; from the west side, his presence is available as Jyothir Linga. You can do whatever you want.
      • So each side expressed a unique energy. The place where I gave darshan is the side he administers the cosmos. So naturally administrative energy is the unique energy.
      • Even now so many people give me the continuity of the Kailash experience. The experience which started there is continuing even now.
      • I get many experiences but nothing like Kailash. Even now if I remember or talk about it, I feel like going there. That is why I wanted to take up a project of having our ashram there. So that whenever I want, I can go there by helicopter and come back. If at all I wanted a helicopter, I want to go to Kailash and come back regularly. That is the place to be in.
    1. Swamiji, I heard under your guidance the whole group performed the last rites of our dear departed ones in Kailash. Does this mean that you have given them liberation? Can you speak something on this? – Anuradha, New Delhi, INDIA

Nithyananda

    • Last rites of the departed ones… Please understand, if a priest performs the last rites, he sends strong vibrations through mantras to the departed ones. When an enlightened being performs the last rites, he directly liberates them.
    • If a priest sits and chants the mantras he prays: let him be liberated. For example, if he is doing it for your grandmother, grandfather who has departed, he is just praying: let them be liberated. It is a prayer.
    • When an incarnation chants the mantra, it is an order. Directly, your elders who have departed are liberated. They become enlightened.
    • Especially in a place like Kailash, it is icing on the cake. At a place like Kailash, when these last rites are done, it is ultimate liberty. Directly they achieve the Sayoodhya, being one with Shiva’s world. So if you perform last rites for your near & dear ones in Kailash.
    • I think last time even for the people who came to Kailash I performed the last rites. Because after this anytime anywhere you die, nobody needs to do the last rites. It is like it is in the bank. You just need to go to the bank and say here I am and you will just be liberated.
